This is my Photoshop coloration of lineart by Tremolo, based on a character by ShatteredKatana (a.k.a. Ian)
This is the first coloring I did where I actually paid attention to light source, and tried to think where light would hit. I also tried a different shading technique than normal: I used a 17% opacity black brush and went over areas repeatedly until they were the right shade, instead of manually selecting a darker shade and painting it with a 100% opacity brush. background?
