- Geishas are NOT high class FREAKING PROSTITUTES! There are names for geisha-like women who where prostitutes but they are NOT geisha. A geisha has sex for money once (to lose her virginity) she does not have a say in this and does not get the money. A prostitute can be identified because her obi sash is tied in the front of her kimono.
