- The magic of side views is in tricking the eye with shortened lines. If you look at good line art that's drawn from the side you'll notice that the shoulders for example are way shorter than they seem. The problem is always drawing what it really looks like rather than what your brain knows it's supposed to look like, heh. Good luck, you've got potential smile
