"He is going down." I thought, as I pressed the controller, hard. I challenged some random kid at a video game cafe to a round of Call of Duty 4. Don't you ever have those amazingly 'good' days? Everything is where it should be, no fights with relatives/friends/boss'/boyfriend/therapist and getting off work early! (Which by the way is impossible when you work at an investment firm, in New York, with rich and stupid clientele, and to top it off work as a senior financial advisor with the most beautiful office, people can only DREAM of.) I got off work early and stopped by one of my favorite places in the world. 'Short Circuit' was my favorite computer cafe in the world. My passion (besides money) was video games, computer art, the internet, etc... No one, even my family, boyfriend, boss, co-workers, therapist didn't even know that me, Bella Klein, liked the simplest of all pleasures. Video games.
"In your face Kenny!" I hollered. "Pshh. How can a GIRL win at Call of Duty 4?" "Cause I'm better than you at it. Period." The kid I challenged, Kenny, walked off both embarrassed and pissed that a GIRL had beat him at Call of Duty 4.
Proud of myself I walked back to my fabulous New York City Apartment on 501 Prince Ave. My boyfriend, Stan, practically begged me to move in with him a year ago. It was embarrassing, marching into my office and declaring at the top of his lungs that I should move in with him.
I walked into the lobby (yes, a lobby!) and saw an elevator open. I ran as fast as I could (with 4 inch heels on) to the doors and managed to get inside. I pressed the button for my floor and sighed. I decided to make something French for dinner and had a perfectly romantic, sensual night planned out in my head. I opened the door to my apartment and saw my boyfriend picking out engagement rings online. I knew he was going to propose! Everyone I knew always thought Stan would propose. I was soo excited!!!!! "Oh, Bella!" Stan sputtered out and immediately closed the window he was looking at. I played dumb. "What are you being so secretive about babe?"
"..." I looked at him and he just stared back. "Bella, it's over."
It took me a full 15 seconds to realize my boyfriend whom I was madly in love with....just broke up with me.
"It's not you it's me. You're a wonderful person and you've got so much to offer! Please don't take this the wrong way!"
I kept my cool and tried to speak persuasively, if you call keeping your cool and trying to speak persuasively shouting and grabbing his shirt while he tried to walk out of the apartment, then, yeah, I kept my cool.
"Why are you breaking this off? So you can be with that stupid bimbo?!?!?!?"
"Her name is Allie."
"Whatever!"
"Look I have to go."
And as I said, I grabbed his shirt and he dragged me about 30 feet to the door.
"Please! Don't do this!"
"Well..."
*Gasp* It was working.
"You have 4 days to move. I won't be here Thursday so you can probably get other people here to help you."
With that, he left.
10 minutes later, I ate everything in the fridge and crashed his computer.

- Wow, this is very well written, I like it. And the girl-gamer theme isn't exactly something you see in a romantic story in this day and age.
