Snow danced out of a pale blue sky, like millions of tiny feathers floating on the wind. The field was a mixture of white ice and bare charred black trees. There were still gaping patches of barren darkness showing through the blanket of blinding white ice, grasses and flowers long dead from neglect. This was His land… This was Raga's dark kingdom of sorrows. Towering above the field was a castle of black marble... Icy blue eyes bore down upon His Majesty’s palace of nightmares.
A thick blanket of new-fallen snow now covered the foreboding castle grounds completely; everything seemed so much more deceivingly inviting in the oncoming whiteout. A Scarlet cloaked figure stood before the black monster’s shadow. As the gold trimmed hood fell down in the raging wind, long corn-silk hair cascaded down to frame her face. Shocking blue eyes scanned the seemingly endless land before her, and she took in a breath of the icy air. This was Tore of Lorel, the land untouched by Raga’s demons.
This desolate place cloaked in ice looked more like the winter wonderland of Kryote to her every second; though the black marble clashed with the image of a small white castle blending with the terrain and the crystal ice city below that beautiful dream of the North.
She smiled and threw her hands up to the sky, and as she did this, an odd, unnatural wind kicked up around her. The blood red cloak hovered in the wild wind, revealing an Indian like dress and knee-high moccasin boots in white and light blue all trimmed in rabbit fur. The air whipping around her was rapidly dropping in temperature, and more flakes of snow seemed to gather in the frigid air. Tore was the storm, or at least she was the reason it looked so much more like the North here. Her arrival was bound to be noticed, in a place where it was always warm and never snowed. She wanted to be caught.
This whiteout on Raga’s castle grounds would mark the day their game began, and the day Tore’s life changed forever more. She dropped her arms to her sides, and smirked as her cloak unclipped itself and floated off on the wind, Raga’s empire will crumble at my feet, and my people will be free forever more… I swear it by Night Tribe! She told herself as she stalked through the snow like the huntress she was, making her way toward Raga’s front door.
