The Elves Diamond
Chapter 1
Seiji yawned as he walked in the door to his home. Wasn’t anything big, just your average home. He wouldn’t say ‘I’m home’, because there was nobody to say it to. Seiji was 16 years old, in high school and his parents had died in a car crash a few months earlier. He lived on his own, life was decent. It was, average; it was boring. He set is bag on the kitchen table, and walked lazily up the wooden stairs in the living room to go take a shower. It had been a long day at school, so he needed one. He stripped down and set a towel on the side of the sink, and hopped into the shower. Another yawn escaped him, as he washed his blonde hair.
After his shower, he dressed himself back into his school uniform because he hadn’t anything else to wear at the time. He sat on the edge of his bed, his hair still wet. He stared at himself in the mirror for a moment, pondering what to make for dinner. He could invite someone over to eat with him, but why bother. The people in his school got annoying. His ocean blue eyes stared blankly at the mirror, and then he stood up. He had decided that he would make himself beef ramen; his favorite. As he walked down the stairs, in his still silent house; he wish something would happen for once. Everything was like a routine for him, it annoyed him. He wanted adventure, which wasn’t going to come about very soon. His house was so quiet, as if nobody lived there, not even him. Like he was a ghost or something. At school, was a different story. He was quite popular, apparently. Although he had no idea why he would be, he supposed it was just weird teenage crushes.
Soon enough Seiji cleaned his dishes, and walked back upstairs. He was just about ready to take a nap, when it started pouring heavily outside. He assumed a storm was passing over quickly, and sat down on his bed. He couldn’t sleep through storms. He let out a sigh, and then suddenly the power went out. He groaned and sat up.
“What the hell?” he whispered to himself, noticing a strange glow. His mirror was glowing a bright red. It wasn’t blinding, just a faint blood red glow. A womanly figure stood inside of his mirror now. He assumed that he was dreaming and didn’t bother worrying about it. But still, he wondered.
“Who the hell are you?” he asked, more or less demanding.
“Katsuki.” her voice rang like a beautiful song. “Take my hand.” she demanded, a hand going through the mirror to his side. “Come with me…”
“Why would…” his eyes went pitch black, as if being lured by sirens. He reached out a hand toward the figure who called herself Katsuki.
“Hell awaits you, Seiji.” the girl whispered in his ear as she grabbed hold of him and wrapped her arms around him causing him to flinch out of her control and push her away. Suddenly he was thrown out of the mirror.
When he stood up off the floor, he wasn’t in his room. In fact, it looked pretty old. It looked like something in the feudal era, that he learned about in school. It was, strange. His eyes scanned what was in front of him, and then he jumped at the sound of a angered voice.
“Who the hell are you, and why are you in my room?!” the woman yelled. Seiji spun around, meeting the woman’s gaze. Her eyes were an impossible blood red, as well as her hair. She had a big red bow in the back of her hair, and wore a short red kimono. She had a golden cloak, kind of like a cape. She was pale, frankly Seiji thought she was the most beautiful being he had ever seen. On her head was an unfamiliar creature, like a white rabbit. Except; it’s ears were like golden wings.
“Uh…” was all Seiji could manage.
“I asked you a question!” the woman yelled again.
“Ah- My Name? Seiji. Tadashi, Seiji.” he replied, gazing into her eyes.
“Why are you here?” She asked, less annoyed.
“Well.. Someone… brought me through that mirror.” he pointed behind him.
“You’re kidding. That’s…” she paused. “Damn that wench bringing innocent people from absurd eras!” Seiji flinched, at her raising her tone.
“Oh, I’m sorry.” she said softly. “My name is Suri. Hoshigawa, Suri. I’m sorry you’re here. But now that you are, there’s nothing I can do about it.”
“So you’re saying I can’t go back to my own time?” he asked, ending in a groan.
“That appears to be it, unless… Well unless you are the young man in the prophecy. But that’s… well you are blonde, are you strong?” she asked.
“…I… Don’t know?” he failed to understand what she was talking about, and raised an eyebrow.
“I will determine.” she continued not listening to him.
Seiji breathed in deeply, “Determine What?!” he yelled.
The girl looked up at Seiji, and smiled a crooked smile. “I will determine, whether or not you are our ‘hero’ from the future.”
