Chapter 1: intro 1: the one who never spoke.

It was a bright day. The air was dry due to the fact that there had been no rain for the past week. The air was having a heavy affect on the students also. The teacher watched over her students.
The teacher was an older lady. She was 5’8 and slender. Her hair was dripping down with the sweat of the hard day. It was stuck together and long. Her face was rough and emotionless, a result of her hard discipline, was watching over her students. Her body, threw the same discipline as she is now teaching her students, was sculpted to perfection. All her hard work was etched on her body threw scars, bruises, and experience. Despite her low amount of scars, gotten in her time acting as a protector for the town, all male shopkeepers still gave her discounts. Her eyes were a brilliant shade of blue that seemed to catch everything. Her clothes were few. She wore something to cover her chest and legs. She also had a few bags around her belt but other than that she wore nothing.

Her students were also hard at work. She had one student that she had her eye on. Like the teacher this student was also female. The student, her name is Andria, was working hard. She had blond hair that went to her waist. It too was drenched in sweat. Every student was hitting a wooden target to test their form. Andria was making huge dents in the target. Andria wore a blue tank top and grey pants. Andria also was slender but was less built than the teacher. Andria was about 16. The teacher had originally opposed to Andria’s long hair but decided to let it be due to the fact that it was going to be cut once Andria graduated. The teacher looked at the sundial and then yelled “time to go in.” in a light voice. It was a good voice for encouraging others. As everybody went in Andria said “today was a good day to test our body’s ability to endure.” She said in a voice that was a mixture of light and serous. “Yes it was. Now get rest or else you won’t have energy for tomorrow. You will graduate.” The master said. Andria look surprised and said “so you will graduate me? Thank you master, I am honored.” Andria said and her voice was much lighter.

After that night Andria and her master engaged in a duel. It was unarmed combat. The master would evaluate Andria on her skill. The match was fierce. After the battle both Andria and the master were wounded. The master said “you pass. I, Elena, give you permission to leave the training grounds in order to go further in your studies.” Andria looked very happy and bowed saying “yes master.” After some celebration disaster struck as 7 men in full plate armor came in to the temple. There were 14 students, Elena, and Andria. 5 students were still recovering from heat fatigue from yesterday. That left 11 people. One man stayed back to give orders to the rest of the troops. Elena helped students while Andria took on a fighter by herself. Andria quickly managed to break the head and chest part of the armor but had trouble knocking him out. Andria quickly saw that this man was untrained. He was tough but untrained. After dodging a strike from the enemy’s sword Andria saw that she lost most of her hair. It was now shorter. Andria took a few strikes at the man and he finally collapsed. Andria looked around and saw that most other enemies were almost taken care of. There were very few blood stains. Andria went to help Elena.

After the rest of the attack force was taken care of Elena and Andria looked at the bodies. Elena said “they look like soldiers. Not the guard. They don’t have any symbol on them. I think it is safe if we take them to the guard. Take their money. They won’t need it.” Elena said. A few unsaid things passed through. Andria finally said “but don’t we… the temple need some wealth?” she asked. “Ok take from the man who attacked you. Now I want you to talk to my bother. He might be able to get some insight into this matter.” Elena said. Andria bowed, took the money and looked at her master one more time. “you will be ok. And always remember that death will never truly keep people apart."
