• There was once a boy named Zero, who was 13 years old that went to Pine Wood Middle School. He has 10 years old annoying little brother who loves to bother Zero whenever he had time to. He also has a strange 8 years old little sister who spends her time mostly in her room. Zero has a friend named Ralph who is 12 years old that also goes to Pine Wood Middle School. Ralph always brings his Hot-Wheels cars to school to play in his classes. But Zero, on the other hand, loves to do those pretend crime investigations at home.

    One very strange day, Mr. Science, the science teacher, did a very strange experiment that no students had ever seen him do before. The experiment caused lightning bolts from the sky to shoot down on the school. It hit half of the school and several cars parked around the school, everyone was very frightened except for Mr. Science admiring his brilliant experiment. Luckily, only a few students were injured, so the teacher had to call the hospital. The school principal, Mr. Jones, came to Mr. Science and expelled him from the school for damage of school property. Mr. Science was furious at the news, so he just rushed out and grunted all the way to his car.

    Zero thought nothing worse could happen because Mr. Science was his favorite teacher. After school, as the students rumored about the accident, Zero and Ralph walked down the hill to their house. But all of a sudden, a man jumped down from a tree and grabbed Zero and Ralph. “ Ahhhhhhh!” Zero and Ralph screamed as loud as they can. But the man covered their mouth with his hand and said “Shush!” “Sorry to have scared you kids, but I have something urgent to tell you, meet me back here tomorrow.” The man said as he walked away. Zero and Ralph were still terrified, not daring to move. But finally Zero said “Let’s continue walking and act as if that never happened,” Ralph nodded and started to follow Zero.

    When Zero got home, he skipped dinner and headed straight for his room and in his bed. He couldn’t believe a stranger just jumped down from a tree and say he had something urgent to tell Ralph and him. As Zero thought about tomorrow, he slowly fell asleep. The next day, during the classes, Zero couldn’t concentrate, he just kept thinking about the man from yesterday. When school finally ended, Zero and Ralph headed straight for the tree where they met the stranger. After a few minutes, just as Ralph and Zero decided he wasn’t coming and head back home, the man popped out.

    “Ok good, I am here to tell you guys that you are now an official spy!” But Zero and Ralph looked at the man as if he was crazy and that this was all a crazy unreal dream. “I will start training you tomorrow at 10:00 in the morning, meet in same spot, alright I’ll see you tomorrow,” and just like that the man was gone. It had been another strange day for Zero and Ralph but somehow they got through the day as if nothing happened. The next day, Zero and Ralph met up at the same spot waiting, once again, for the man to appear. The man finally appeared and took Zero and Ralph to his hideout. There, Zero and Ralph saw they weren’t the only kid spies that got recruited, they were about the same age as Zero and Ralph. There were also other teenager/adult spies, probably the pros, thought Zero silently in his head.

    What would happen next to Zero and Ralph? Will they fulfill their duties now as spies and continue their normal lives at home and school?
