• CHAPTER 2: MISSION IN THE RAIN COUNTRY

    I woke-up to someone knocking on my bedroom window. It was Chi, wearing her ninja gear, and a backpack. I leaped out of bed, and opened up the window so we could talk. "Hey Kyuu-chan, we just got our first B-rank mission, and we're heading to the rain village!We have to leave soon, so hurry up and meet us at the gate," Chi shouted happily. "Alright, see ya there Chi-chan," I said replied cheerfully. Chi disappeared in a puff of smoke. I hopped over to my closet, and got out two different ninja uniforms. I decided to wear a black skirt, black shirt, gloves, and a fishnet shirt. i brought a few boxes of pocky, water, and some money. I grabbed a backpack off my chair, and stuffed everything in it. I put on my head band, and dashed out the door. Chi, Mamoru, Haru, and Kuro-sensei were all sitting there waiting for me. "Hey, sorry I'm late. I overslept," I said while scratching the back of my head nervously. "You're an idiot, you know that pinky," Haru insulted.
    "Pinky?!Excuse me but one I'm not an idiot, and two my name is Kyuu not pinky," I shouted back at her. "Pfft, whatever," Haru said coldly. I walked beside Chi, when we were leaving. "Kyuu-chan you shouldn't let her insult you like that," Mamoru said as he walked beside us. "I know, I just don't feel like fighting right now, I'm tired.Wait a minute," I said,"Who said you could call me Kyuu-chan. I barely even know you." "Oh sorry," he said while waving his hands frantically. "Then uh Chi-chan," he said. "Same goes for me, no Chi-chan yet until we're actually friends," Chi replied. "Okay," Mamoru said. Chi and I were really fast runners, so we didn't have trouble keeping up, except I tripped over a snail a few times. The sun was setting fast, and we set up camp. "Okay, were about two days away from the rain village," Kuro-sensei said. "Be careful, there's said to be a shinobi around here, who shows no mercy when fighting. Even to genin like you four," he warned. "We'll all eat first, then get some rest. I hope you packed some food," Kuro-sensei said. We all sweat dropped. I had only brought three small boxes of pocky and some water. "You never mentioned that we had to bring food," we all shouted. Kuro-sensei sighed. "Then I guess we'll just have to share my food," he said. We were all hoping that it would be something edible. Sensei pulled out a box lunch, that had rice, fish, and some beef. I could hear my stomach growl, "Uh, sensei I have some pocky and a few bottles of water," I said while reaching into my bag. "And I have some instant ramen," Chi said as she pulled out eight or nine cups from her bag. "Then we could start a fire and use some of the water to cook the ramen," Mamoru suggested. "That would probably be a better idea than pocky Kyuu," Kuro-sensei agreed,"Sweets like that won't provide a very good meal." I nodded. "Idiots," Haru insulted. I shot a glare at her. "I'm sick and tired of you insulting everyone, I swear you act just like Sasuke Uchiha," I snapped. "I've only known you for two days, and I already don't like you!" "Well maybe if you weren't so stupid, I wouldn't insult you," Haru yelled back. I hissed at her. "Pfft, you wanna fight," she shouted. "Bring it on," I shouted. Chi and Mamoru held me back so I couldn't punch her. "Kyuu-chan, calm down," Chi shouted,"She's just a Sasuke wannabe!" Haru glared at her. "Sasuke wannabe!?" Haru shouted,"Don't even compare me to him!" I shot an evil glare at her for yelling at Chi. "Chi's right Haru, you are an Uchiha wannabe," Mamoru shouted. "Why you little," Haru said before being cut off by Kuro-sensei. "Alright that's enough, don't gang up on each other like that. That's not how shinobi behave," Kuro said strictly. "Yes sensei," we all said. "Good, now about the ramen. Chi use your fire jutsu to start a fire, and Kyuu use your water jutsu. We need to save the water bottles," Kuro commanded. "Yes sir," Chi and I shouted. Mamoru pulled a small camping kit, with a small pot. "Okay Kyuu ready," he shouted happily. I made a few hand seals, and shouted,"Water style raging waves!" The small pot filled up quickly. Then, Kuro-sensei and Haru dug a small hole, and threw some wood in it. "Now Chi," Kuro said. Chi nodded, and made the tiger seal,"Fire style:dragon fire!" The small pile of wood was ablaze in an instant. We all sat around waiting for the water to boil. After about five minutes, it came to a rolling boil, and Kuro-sensei pulled the pot out of the wood. Our stomachs growled. "Hurry up sensei, I'm starving," Mamoru whined. We all opened a cup of ramen, and let Kuro-sensei pour it into the large ramen cups. Chi and I finished in a matter of minutes. We both loved ramen. We always went to Ichiraku with Naruto. I heard something in the bushes, and I threw a shuriken at it. A small rabbit hopped out of the bush. I sweat dropped. "Heh, sorry I thought it was the enemy," I said nervously. Mamoru chuckled. "Alright, after your done, you should all go to bed," Kuro-sensei instructed. We all nodded. With that, we all threw the cups into the fire, and looked for a place to sleep. Kuro-sensei put the fire out with his own water jutsu. We all decided to lie down on the grass, we slowly drifted off to sleep.
