The Girl:
Who knew how much one single boy who I had known for 2 months could destroy me in 2 minutes. I didn't love him, but I must confess, I was obsessed. I counted the weeks, days, and even down to the hours. I was doing anything to fill the void in my heart that I thought was one time for him.
Mason and I talked every day for one hour. He could only use the phone for so long and such. We talked about the idea of me going to his house, or us somehow hanging out. But those were just silly fantasies that could never really be reality.
Caleb and I only resorted to texting. I suppose he did not have enough nerve to face what he had done to me. He had used me . How do I know this? Well, Chelsea asked her boyfriend Nick who sits with Caleb and lunch and this is what he said:
"I just don't feel the same for Taylor anymore. I mean she's so hot and has huge boobs and a nice bod, but she wants a 'boyfriend.' I just want to mess around. I guess I did use her in some way."
Wow, how nice. Glad I am needed for my "blessed" body.
I do have a face.
"Tay, seriously, you could do better than Caleb. He doesn't deserve you if he's going to act like a total d*ck." Chels bluntly said as she drove me to Yoforia.
"Gah. I know. But it just...hurts. That's why I have you to take me to Yoforia! Woo!" I exclaimed.
"Well, I must agree that Yoforia is the greatest thing to hit Atlanta, Georgia in quite a while."
"Yay for Hotlanta!"
"You're such a dork. But in all seriousness, don't let Caleb bring you down. And don't let him walk all over you! Take a chance for once!"
"I'll think that idea over while eating my delicious organic frozen yogurt of amazingness."
"I couldn't even think of any more words to describe it."
Chelsea got her normal Green Tea yogurt with blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries. I, Taylor Ashley, also have my signature yogurt which is: blueberry yogurt with fruity pebbles, oreos, and strawberries.
"God, Taylor. I feel like your mother when you eat that around me. I always have to make sure you get the oreos off your face." Chels complained. I just smiled, and I am quite sure the oreos were covering my smile for Chels threw her head down on the table in disgust.
Then my phone rang (as usual); yet this time it was Joel.
"Wha yew want, son?" I said in my "Atlanta" voice.
"Oh, please stop. You're as white as snow." he said.
"But I am darker than you."
"Taylor, you're part Cherokee. ANYWAY! There's a show this Friday. You going?"
"Where?"
"Avalon."
"Who?"
"MyChildren MyBride."
"I'll have to ask my parents and--"
"Mason is going."
"Time?"
"6ish I guess."
"I'll be there."
It was time to take a chance. It was time to move on from that pathetic, indecisive red head.
The Boy:
Lea and I were walking through the halls together, passing notes, eating lunch next to one another, and we were putting on a show for all to see. Her ex-boyfriend wasn't too fond of the whole ordeal. In fact, he was destroyed. But Caleb took my girl from me; I needed to steal a girl to call my own. Plus, she gave me cigarettes.
"Hey Mom, Dad? Can I go to the show on Friday? I mean it is at church." I asked.
"You have been good this week so I guess." my dad mumbled.
"Just don't mess with that house arrest anklet of yours." my mom chimed.
"Yeah, yeah. I'll be good."
I took the phone and headed to my room. I only got a hour to talk each day and each hour went to Taylor. She didn't know that I only had one hour; she didn't realize that I spent my time on her.
She also didn't know that I was trying to change for her. Her hate of cigarettes were obvious for some unknown reason and her hate of me being in trouble was obvious through the repetition of her saying it.
If I changed, would she come back? I could only hope.
If it wasn't for Taylor Ashley, I would have just tried to stay in YDC or just end up back there.
The Girl:
It was Friday, and I was absolutely ecstatic. Since that Wednesday afternoon with Chelsea, I really realized what Caleb had done to me. The reality finally hit me, and my eyes were cleaned with the worthless tears that I had cried for him.
I only wanted Mason.
He was the reason I was going tonight.
I was putting my skinny jeans on and a Bilabong v-neck shirt. My aim was for perfection in looks. The eye shadow on my eyes was a descending rainbow of blue to pink to yellow. My mascara gave me that cute and innocent look, and my lips shone.
"Gah! Where are my Pumas?" I cried out loud while getting ready. I was about to walk out the door until I noticed my phone was gone and ringing.
"Hello?" I said with curiosity.
"Taylor, I have a song I want to sing for you." Caleb whispered.
"Um, Okay? I have to leave soon but okay, I'm listening."
He began to sing Kelsey by Metro Station, but instead of saying "Kelsey", he was saying "Taylor." He was attempting to make up for my Metro Station concert that he deserted me at and wouldn't even hug me. This song was to apologize. Yet I did met Trace Cyrus (again!) that night, so the fact that Caleb ruined it didn't bother me.
But what did bother me was the fact that Caleb was singing when I could have left by now.
I put my phone on speaker and touched up my looks. I gathered up my purse and money.
"Look, Caleb the song was very sweet, but I have to go to a church thing tonight." I interrupted.
"Oh...okay. Well, I'll talk to you later." He replied.
"Okay. Later."
No more excuses; I was walking into that church with high hopes in winning Mason.
The Boy:
I was standing near the mosh pit up in the front with Josh and Jacob.
"So who's going in first?" I asked above the loud music.
"Not me! I just got this cardigan sweater! Fifty bucks! No moshing for me." Jake chimed.
"You're such a girl. I'll go; you coming with, Mason?" Josh said.
"Yeah, yeah, let's go."
"I am not a girl! I am metrosexual . OHMIGAWD! Is that Taylor with Joel?"
Oh it was. I ran to her. I held in her in middle of a mosh pit. I picked her up, and she wraped her legs around me and buried her head in my chest. Yet... whispers from the people could be hear as "Who is she ?! What about Lea?!"
What about Lea? I had Taylor.
