Prologue
Ever go to summer camp? It’s cool stuff. Canoeing, swimming, arts and crafts, and, of course, smores. Ever hear of TeenPlace? Of course not. You never had to be taken out of your home and shipped across the sea to a new continent. I did. I’d like to tell you about what I did, but let’s start from the beginning.
My name is Annabeth. Call me Ann, Ana, but not Annie. It all started out in the year 2039 A.D. People found out how to mass-produce kids then. The kids naturally born are called naturals, and the mass-produced kids are called products. What am I? I’m natural. This technique was made on January 1st, 2039. It wasn’t booming ‘till 2049. By then, there was an over-population. Luckily, scientists discovered a new continent due to extreme volcanic activity. Due to over-population, the products were sent to there. That’s TeenPlace. It was pretty cool. Still is. Games, movies, pools ... oh and all the food you want. It was worth the month long trip. NOT!!!!!!!! Okay, it was great to breathe fresh air afterwards. And eat gourmet food to celebrate our arrival.
You’re probably wondering; if I’m natural, then why did I get sent here? The answer is simple. My parents didn’t want me. The unwanted kids and the orphans are sent along with the products to TeenPlace. Don’t let the name fool you. Any product kid older than three was shipped there. It was actually a pretty cool place. Until the final population was counted. Then, we knew we had to leave. The final population was 666,666,666. Bad number. BAAAAAAD number. And a living hell was found...

- I'm telling a lot so you don't get confused later. This is kind of like a reference.

- Seems a bit cliche, and you're telling us too much about your world all at once, when you should be showing us... but your narrator has a strong voice.
