• The boy told his story first. He was the phantom thief Dark. His consciousness appeared in the first born male Niwa in the generation when they turned fourteen. That time it so happen to be Daisuke.
    "I see." Most people would have thought that was weird, but not Kerri. She'd had her fair share of weirdness. "Well. It's my turn to tell you bout me I guess. 'All kids hold an egg in their hearts. The egg of our souls, our 'would be selves'' usually these eggs stay with in us and fade away when we become adults and have accomplished our dreams. But on occasion a child's wish is so strong the egg emerges, and hatch, into Charas, beings that represent the wish of their owners."
    "Well then, that explains things. If you don't mind me asking. What's your wish?"
    Kerri looked at the ground, "I want to be a more friendly and outgoing person. And to be the best author I can!"
    "I see." He trailed off he was think about something else. "Well I'd better get going." he paused and quickly spoke back up, "Daisuke wants you to come with us."
    "Uh. Sure?" Then he pick her up before she could have a second thought.
    "Careful this might get a little rough." And the next second they were flying. Kerri was used to the feeling fortunately as Prime Protagonist could fly. They touched down by a house, that wasn't small or large. Dark set Kerri down and then closed his eyes in thought. Soon it wasn't him standing in front of Kerri, but Daisuke. He went inside.
    "I'm back!" He called in. I also have guest." He motioned for Kerri to come in. "Mom, Dad, Grandpa, This is Kerri White she helped Dark." His mother was first to speak up,
    "Helped Dark? But how?" Daisuke nodded to Kerri, "My own heart," she then put her hands near her heart forming a square with the thumbs and forefingers of her hands and then turned them each while she said, "UNLOCK!" The light from before engulfed her again and when it subsided she and Emmi again together said, "Character Transformation: Prime Protagonist!"
    "OH you must go to Seiyo Academy. I went there on my research. Your school principal told me all about the guardians. Of course that was about 2 years ago."
    "Oh really. That's pretty cool!" Kerri then dispelled. It was really embarrassing to be transformed in front of adults. I'd better get going. I'm out on an inspiration walk but my parents will get worried if I don't get back soon." She turned to Daisuke and handed him a small business card. That's my cell-phone number if you ever need to reach me. See ya tomorrow." And she was off without another word.

    The next day Kerri was back by the fountain. She was working on her new story, about a young man whom the night itself surrounded and embraced like wings. He was a thief like robin hood, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. She was midway through a chapter when she notice that Daisuke was hovering over her reading what she had written so far.
    "You haven't fallen in love with Dark have you?" Kerri's face was blistering red in anger although it could have easily come across as blushing.
    "NO WAY! He was just a great inspiration! I never pass something like that up!"
    "Oh really? Then way are you blushing?" He would have gotten a fist in his face if he hadn't sidestepped just in time.
    "AM NOT!" She instantly went from bristling with anger to actually blushing her eyes shifting to the ground, "There's someone else important to me anyways. Well I only have a week in town. Would you take me sightseeing?"
    "Um. Sure."
    "Thanks Daisuke! Or should I call you Niwa? I'm still getting used to the Japanese way of things."
    "Daisuke's fine."
    "Well then Daisuke let's get going." He took her all over town when he came to a museum that had people crowed around the gate. Most were reporters. "What's going on here?"
    "Oh yeah Dark's going to steal something from here tonight. We sent out the waring letter so that's how everyone knows."
    "You sent out a warning letter? how unpoetical." Daisuke laughed and then said,
    "I'll tell her. Dark says it's funner if the police are there so he can steal it from right under their noses."
    "Now that changes everything. I'll be here to give you guys support."

    That night as Dark made his descent in the crowd he saw a girl with a pixie like character near her looking up straight at him.
    "Well there she is." He winked at her and she looked down. Was she laughing?

    "Tonight I got all the inspiration I need for a while. didn't I Emmi. She looked back up to see that Dark was gone out of the sky. "How does he disappear so fast. Even you and I take a while to land. Maybe it's something about being a thief?"
