- As I walked trough the graveyard,I pictured my mother.A beautiful young woman with dark brown hair and beutiful eyes. One eye was ice blue and the other was dark brown. The night she died my older sister Lydia cried and cried. My younger brother Illisious wailed and yelled in his small voice "Mama!Mama!"My father stood in the corner of our house wailing like a siren.I never cried.Mama told me not to cry when she died. She always said 'Save your tears when I go child. You'll see me soon enough.'And Father said that we'd all take turns tending to Mama's grave. It was my turn and I knew which flowers I'd put on her grave.Roses.Her favorite flowers in the whole world. As I got to her grave I put the flowers down on the soft grass and a piece of paper along with them.It had my mother's favorite song on it.I sang it.From the ground itself the final words were sang. Then I cried.A long low sound I hope never to make again as long as I live.

- first of all, thanks for quoting my "Annoying Playmate"!! okay, this may have been sad, but the imagery and sound usage was great! i was kinda hoping for the rest of the story...came across to me as an opener or prologue if u will. to critique...if you want it....i would fix this sentence a bit: "As I got to her grave I put the flowers down on her grave and along with them." i think you may have left something out, because i got a little lost after that part.
