At sunset, Shionna emerged from the bedroom in an all black mostly leather outfit. Her pants were black leather, her shirt was a black one that she borrowed from him, her black hooded jacket with the safety pins and poor stitching, and she wore her black tennis shoes. Her eyes where fire red, and a long tail covered in dark red hair emerged from her lower back. Her claws were long, painted black, and her hands where covered with biker gloves. Her hair, now the same color as fire, was pulled back into a high ponytail, and her pointy ears were exposed to the cold weather.
Derrick followed out promptly in his black leather pants, black steel-toe boots, black t-shirt, and long black leather trench coat. His eyes were covered with black sunglasses, and a gun was holstered to his waist on the left side attached to his right side was his black IPhone. A black woolen stocking cap covered his ears, and his hands were covered in gloves. Derrick looked like an assassin, not a demon hunter.
He smiled and reached for Shionna's hand. "I'll take you to the warehouse, then call him, okay?" He said.
"Gotcha," she said, smiling along with him.
He walked her out of the townhouse, locked the door behind him and led her the Ford Explorer. She climbed in the passenger's seat while he climbed into the driver's seat. He drove them to an empty warehouse in the downtown area, and then they stepped out of it.
Once they were both outside, Derrick pulled Shionna close and gave her a deep and passionate kiss. "I love you," he said once he broke off the kiss.
"I love you, too," said Shionna as she turned and walked into the unlocked warehouse.
Derrick watched her leave with a heavy heart. He was afraid that, even though he was going to be there with her, she might get hurt. He grabbed his cell phone and dialed Ignacio's cell phone number.
"Rivera," Ignacio answered.
"Ignacio, I have tracked the Fire Wolf Demon girl." Derrick said, faking his anger.
"Good job, Mason. Tell me where she is," Ignacio said coldly. My plan will work out nicely. He thought.
"1621 North Palmer Drive in Downtown Minneapolis. It's an abandoned warehouse off of Hennepin Avenue," Derrick said, quietly, as if the demon might hear him.
"I'll be there in ten," Ignacio said happily, "and you'll be rewarded greatly for your help."
"Whatever you say," Derrick said, hanging up.
Ten minutes later, Ignacio pulled up in his blood red Mustang. He stepped out with his Colt .45mm drawn. "She's in there?"
"Yes," Derrick said, coldly.
"I'll go in first, you follow in promptly, Mason," Ignacio ordered.
"Yessir," Derrick replied, trying to cover up the grin he had. Now, Ignacio will get what he has coming to him. He thought, covering up his smile.
Ignacio opened the door and walked in. "COME OUT DEMON!" He shouted.
Shionna smiled and jumped from a beam above him. "You killed my parents, both birth and adopted. You don't deserve to live." She said angrily, flames licking at her fingers.
"Who do you think you are, telling me that I don't deserve to live? You, demon, don't deserve to live!" Ignacio said angrily.
"You're a monster! You kill your own kind! You torture your own kind! " She growled.
"Mason, kill the demon. You found her, kill her now!" Ignacio said, stepping to the side.
Shionna only laughed. "You're foolish on who you rely, Rivera," she laughed louder.
"Two humans can easily defeat a single demon, Mason," Ignacio said, turning and finding that Derrick had his gun drawn and pointed directly at Ignacio's heart. "Mason, what are you doing?"
"Getting revenge for my torture and for the murders you committed," Derrick said.
"I trained you. You had no one else, then after Atsume abandoned you for this demon! I took care of you!" Ignacio said, bitterly.
"She was only a baby demon. She posed no threat, and she was an orphan." She looked back at me, "Someday, you maybe faced with a similar situation." He remembered Atsume said. Now, he understood what had drawn her from her post: love, purely and simply, love.
"You were wrong to admit the murders to me," Derrick said, "because you were admitting your guilt in front of Shionna."
"She was there?" Ignacio said disgustedly.
"In the closet," Shionna said, grinning from ear-to-ear.
Ignacio looked at Shionna, then to Derrick. His face twisted with disgust at what Derrick and Shionna had probably been doing there together. "How disgusting!" He shrieked. "A human and a demon?! It's unnatural!"
"You always told me that emotions, particularly love, would be my downfall. I have something to say to you about that," his finger tightened on the trigger without actually pulling it, "love will be your downfall."
With that, Shionna lunged at Ignacio, tackling him to the ground and knocking the gun out of his hand. "I hope you burn!" She yelled, deepening her attack.
"C'mon," Derrick said to her, "he's dead now, let's get outta here."
"First, I must set the building on fire. Luckily, it isn't attached to anything. Let's go outside, and I'll light it from there." Shionna said.
The two walked out of the building. Shionna pulled her bloody biker glove off and touched the wall, causing a small, unnoticeable fire to begin. She then walked over to the car and touched the engine, so start a fire.
"We've only got a few seconds before the car explodes. We've gotta get outta here." Derrick said.
Shionna reached for his hand, but Derrick pulled his hand away. "I'll get burned." He said.
"No, you won't. I could never harm you, just trust me." Shionna said. She grabbed his hand and to Derrick's surprise, the fire didn't burn him at all, it accepted his hand as if it were part of her own.
"Let's go!" He yelled, pulling Shionna behind him. They got back to the SUV just before the car exploded and the building erupted in flames.
Derrick stared, amazed at the damage that Shionna had inflicted. I'll try to never anger her, he told himself. Both of them climbed into their seats and took off, bound for Derrick's townhouse.
