• Evean had Raven pressed against the wall, his hands flat against the wall on either side of Raven’s head. They glared at each other, Evean smiling slightly at his twin while Raven bared his fangs.
“Tell me Raven. Do you know why you never have to Feed like the rest of us?” Evean tilted his head at Raven to better look him in the eye and frowned as Raven said nothing. “It’s because I do it for you, little sparrow. When your thirsty, my own thirst doubles so I drink deeply. Like when that gardener died when we were young, I was so thirsty I couldn’t stop myself. And he tasted so good and you were so hungry, well, I just had to eat him a bit.” Evean smiled crookedly at Ravens horror stricken look, a sick joy swelling in him at his brother’s disgust. Evean’s eyes roamed over Raven’s face, savoring the look, stopping when he noticed Raven’s right eye. “Remember this?” He asked brushing the hair away from Raven’s face revealing that Raven had no right eye at all. Just the upper eye lid over an empty socket.
“yes.” Raven whispered frozen in place with a sudden fear that started deep in his stomach.
“Of course you do. But… it was fun” Evean murmured his smile spreading across his face, “Ripping your eye out that is. I truly enjoyed the feeling of your poor eye between my fingers.” Evean ran a finger over the smooth skin frowning when he noticed that Raven’s upper eyelid was still there. Raven’s skull had grown over the now useless optic nerves erasing any sign that there was ever an eye there. Skin had followed but Raven’s upper eyelid had remained a loose part of skin, “Why did you keep this?” Evean snarled suddenly angry as he hooked a finger under the lid, pinning it between his index finger and thumb. “It’s…ugly.” Eveans voice was cold with rage as he began to pull on the lid.
Raven pulled back, reaching up to stop Evean “Ev don’t p-” but Evean used his free hand to pin Raven’s hands together, forcing them down.
“This is your one ugly feature, Rave. So ugly. You,” Evean let out a choked laugh “You don’t need it anymore anyway!” he shrieked and ripped Raven’s eyelid from his face.
Raven stared at him, numb for a moment until he felt the blood run across his chin. His gaze flashed down to the skin between Evean’s fingers and he slid to the floor, shock choking his scream.
Evean stared down at him then leaned down and gently kissed the bloodied skin on Raven’s cheek, before popping the torn flesh into his mouth and swallowing. “Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. We all fall down.” Evean sang as Raven found his voice and began to howl.
