• Chapter 3:Splash!

    The next morning I woke up feeling groggy and sleepless in other words I did'nt sleep. All of my room mates were still asleep and didn't look like they were going to wake up anytime soon. I wrapped myself up in my dressing gown and went outside to look over the camps grounds you know just to get familiar with things. I sat on the bench just outside the door to our cabin and looked out over the rapidly rising sun I noticed Mr. Juan and Tululah over by the lake they seemed to be holding up something and trying to get it to fit onto some kind of wire well I don't exactly know what they were doing but it was weird "Morning Darce" Penelope said as she came round the corner with a towel wrapped around her "Whoa you're up early!" I said to her "I didn't stay in your cabin last night" Penelope answered with a smirk on her face I shut my eyes and thought of what I looked like to Penelope.

    In an hour or so we were outside of the dining hall waiting for the camp attendants to open the doors just as we saw some sign of life in the dining hall someone rudely walked straight into "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry" the person said I turned around expecting to see some wimpy kid but instead I saw a tall messy black haired boy looking at me "I-i-i-i-i-its ok" I stuttered as I looked into his deep electric blue eyes "I'm Jake" he said cooly "Darcy" I said stupidly brushing the hair out of my face "Well I'll guess I'll see ya round" he paused "Darcy" before looking me up and down he turned and walked away. I felt like I was on Cloud Nine as I ate my breakfast slowly and with glassy eyes
    "Hellooo Earth To Darcy!!!" Delilah said waving her hand in front of my face today her hair was plaited and put neatly on top of her t-shirt
    "Oh sorry" I said dazingly
    "Ooo someones dreaming about Ja-ake" Farrah said mockingly
    "I am not!" I protested
    "What ever!" Lucy replied sarcastically.

    After a really filling breakfast our camp group (Violet) headed down to the lake and what bad luck Samantha was in our group but Yay Jake was too. Our challenge was to swing across the lake on a flying fox and sucessfully get to the end and luckily our cabin was first. Lucy swung across first without even skimming the water,Delilah fell in laughing,Farrah nervously swung across,Penelope acurately jumped off just before the end landing on the very edge of the platform and managed to get the end much to my cabins delight. Samantha was the very last person to go on the flying fox (No surprises there) she smiled and yelled "I'm going to go down faster than any of you!!!" just as she got above the water she lost balance waving across to all of us and she fell into the slimey green bit of lake our cabin burst out in uncontrollable laughter she emerged from under the water looking like some kind of disgusting sea creature she stomped towards us with an even sourer look on her face......
