• As the rain poored outside, Jade heard a small gasp. She pulls the covers off her head and listens closely. She heard a small voice say one word, "Mom!"
    Quickly but quietly, Jade got to her feet and made her way to the door. Slowly, so that it didn't squeek, she opened it. Jade turned the hallway light on and walked to the room at the end of the hall. The door was ajar, which was unusual.
    Jade pulled the door open and stepped into the small room. She looked around to see if anything was missplaced in any way. The movies where still on the shelves on the red rose colored walls. A corner was filled with stuffed animals, as usual.
    It seemed that the only unual thing was that a little girl was awake and sitting on the bed. Her light hair wavy from sleeping, and her gray-blue eyes wide with tarror.
    Jade swiftly walked to the girl with open arms. She rapped her arms around the small girl and sasid softly, "What is it Maxie?"
    "M...mom, I think I had another vision..." Maxie told her, shaking.
    Jade hugged her daughter closer and said, "It's ok, don't worry. Are you sure it was a vision and not a dream?"
    Max shook her head, "No, I've got a headache now, only visions do that mommy." said the 5 year old. She looked up to Jade with wide eyes. "Do you want to know what I way?"
    Jade looked into the girls eyes, using her power to feal the emotions of anyone at any point in their life, she felt the fear and wonder in her daughter. She nodded her head once, sturnly, "Go ahead dear."
    Max closed her eyes and talked in a low voice; Jade had to strain to hear her. "A letter is to show up. To you, from...your mom. You get worried and go by yourself back to our world." she said slowly. "Once there, you find your brother, being taken by the darkness that is taking over. You franticaly try to help him, but get cought yourself. You call for help to us, but we aren't there with you. Your ingulved in the darkness as well mommy!" her eyes opened quickly, as if to see if Jade was really gone.
    Jade stroked the girls hair, "Then we can't let that happen hunny. Whatever it takes, I won't ever leave you." She winks at the child, smiles and says, "I promice."
    Max smiles back and yawns. Jade giggles and says, "Go back to sleep babe`. I'll see you in the morning." She kissed the top of Max's head and got off the bed.
    Maxie covered herself back up and said quietly, "Ok, night mommy, love you."
    "I love you too baby girl." Jade says, closing the door behind her. She goes back to her own room and desides to tell everyone else the vision in the morning. She falls back asleep listening to the rain fall outside her window.
