Beast boy's face was barley an inch from Raven's. His heart was likely to beat out of his chest. He could feal her warm breath on his face. It was an odd sensation. Something he hadn't felt in a while. Maybe the rush of being with her even. The last time he had been close in any way was before Terra came. Something clicked in his head, but he was staring down at the closed eyes of the beauty below. Beast Boy had never noticed it, but Raven was simply georgous. Possibly because any time he looked at her too long she'd whack him.
But none of this matter. The millions of years in each millasecond was making him more nervous. So before he could think about it any more, Beast Boy pressed his lips against Raven's. Everything seemed to stop around them. A few seconds past and Raven opened her eyes. They opened much wider when she realized what was happening.
But she didn't stop. If anything, she kissed him back. Beast Boy didn't even care. He was hypnotized by something deep down inside. Was he in love with Raven? Or was this another five minute thing. It didn't feel the same, but it wasn't quite as happy. The only way to describe this feeling was amazing.
While they were soaking up the moment, the room was changing. The black stones and draperies turned white. Light shone in and things came to life. It was magical. But neither even realized. They were to busy holding onto eachother. It was like nothing could touch them, as if they were invinsable.
After an eternity, they pulled away. It was quiet as they stared at one another. It wasn't exactly aquard, but it was oddly silent. As they're eyes wondered they were hit with the bright white. Although the purple stayed the same all the black turned white. Including Raven's dress. It was the same flowing gown she was wearing before, but it was a shining white.
Beast Boy suddenly realized they had to go. He grabbed her hand and ran to the window. But with a loud crack it slammed in his face. It didn't stop him. He dashed out the door and down the never ending hall. They sprinted along the corridores and rushed through the entire west wing.
And like an explosion of energy they bursted into the main hall. The double stair cases were white marble and everything looked beautiful. But they couldn't just sit and stare. Beast Boy dragged her down the stairs and they ran as fast as they could to the doors. When he hit them, they opened. 'Figures' he thought.
"Change to a... a horse or something!" she yelled as they flew out the doors. He shook his head. "Just like you I can't use my powers." he said, searching around for something that could help. He found all that he needed. "Come on!" he said, dragging her to the stables. Inside, there was a single white horse. 'Typical, I bet it was black before too.' he thought dashing over.
Beast Boy gently lifted Raven onto the horse, then hopped on himself. They trotted out of the doors. And they broke into a gallop right as they were on hard ground. The hooves of the horse clicked off the short guard walls of the bridge as they sped across it. But just as easy as it had seemed, the horse began buck. Raven landed hard on the cobbled stone ground, but Beast Boy fell over the edge of the bridge.
Everything went so fast. It was like a blur for Raven. As she scrambled to reach the wall, a hand clasped her bisep. It flipped her around. It was the Story Teller. His evil red eyes peirced her's and held her as tight as his hand on her arm. "I've been sent to give you a message." he said.
A chill ran up her spine. This was to much like Slade's coming back. As if on cue an extra set of eyes appeared above his first. She turned to look away, but he shook her. "No matter what you do to try and save your little friends, we'll find you... sis" He said with his stupid little chuckle.
The black shadowed form of the Story Teller faded and gave way to her oldest brother's. She tried to get away, but he pushed her down. She hit her head on the wall. Everything was fuzzy as he stroked her hair. Raven tried to move, but she had hit her head bad. "Good luck" he said. And Raven blacked out. Her brother picked her up and looked down at the waters below. Beast Boy was no where to be seen. He dropped Raven into the waters where she disapeared below the surface.
"Raven! RAVEN!"
She opened her mouth to let in the air. Then she coughed like crazy. There was a firm hand on her back. Raven looked to see Beast Boy, a concerned look on his face. "What happened?" he asked, helping her up. She was in her regular clothes and her hair was in it's usually style.
Raven shook her head and walked off, leaving Beast Boy on the roof alone.
In her room, she studied the glass shoe. Or as in the stories it was known as a glass slipper. There was a wilting rose, a broken mirror, a once bitten apple, and the shoe waiting for her on her bed when she walked in. It was proof they were coming for her. It was officall. She had to leave.... for good.
