• Chapter one the fight to be chosen
    We sat here waiting for them to choose the six of us to train to be work with the dragon. This year a girl choose to join that girl is me. My name is Leona Siblac I am the only girl here I will work as hard as I can to make it. I took my swords they had an emerald on the end of the halt they were ancient they belonged to one of the ones who worked for the dragons. There are six dragons; blue, red, orange, gold, silver, purple, and green. Gold was extremely hard to please and orange hasn’t chosen a girl in 500,000,000 years so I am hoping the blue dragon will choose me if not I go back to the hole I call a home. Everyone was nervous except for me I stood back straight staring down we should not meet the eye of our higher ups. Everyone else was fidgeting I stayed calm I knew I had to stay calm this was an important and if I panicked then it would ruin things. My friend Ezra was beside me trying to copy me the best that he could but he wasn’t doing a good job. The dragon’s apprentices were watching use I felt their eyes on me waiting for me to act like the others. I won’t I can stay calm it is my nature I have never been one to panic.
    “Your test will be how well you face against each other.” the tester announced. I stood up straighter knowing this was the moment I have been waiting for I knew this would help me get a home. I was orphaned at a young age my mom and dad left I don’t know who they are or where they are nor do I care.
    “First pair is Leona and Fabian.” The tester announced. This will be fun I will be great at sword fighting I am good with daggers too. I went to the middle where the fighting was to take place and got into my ready stance. Fabian copied me he smirked at me thinking I would be easy to beat but he never saw me fight before.
    “READY GO!”The tester yelled. I flipped over Fabian then hit him in the back with the halt of the sword knocking him down. I put my foot on his back and my sword at the back of his neck.
    “The winner is Leona.” The tester announced. I moved off him and started to walk back he grabbed my arm stopping me.
    “That was a great match it was an honor to fight you.” he smiled as he bowed.
    “It was an honor to fight you to don’t under estimate your opponents next time.” I told him smirking. He didn’t answer I went back to my place beside Ezra he was looking at me strangely. I ignored it and just watched as the people fought there are twenty six of us then there were sixteen. It was Ezra’s turn he started shaking as he walked to the middle of where we fight. His opponent was sure of himself just as mine was I know Ezra will win. I taught him how to fight I know how good he is he just needs to calm down. I looked him in the eye telling him with my eyes to calm down he stopped shaking.
    “GO!” The tester yelled. Now Ezra didn’t like quick finishes like I did he blocked and slashed enough to make the match last. Then he hit his opponent in the face with the halt of his sword. His sword was made of some black metal with a diamond on the halt. His opponent didn’t get up he must be knocked out Ezra didn’t hit him heard enough to kill him.
    “The winner is Ezra.” The tester announced. The fights flew by then there were eight of us and I was stuck fighting two people to easy. I walked to the middle I was honored to be here I bowed to the higher ups smiling. My opponents were smirking still thinking I am easy they don’t know how wrong they are. I straighten up and got ready this would be easy since I know they will go easy.
    “Go!”The tester yelled. They both came charging at me I back flipped over the one behind me hitting him in the head with my heel. Then I slashed down at the one in charging in front of me and hit him in the stomach with my sword. I positioned my sword at his neck the point at to the point to where he wouldn’t want to move.
    “The winner is Leona.” The tester announced. I went to my spot with the other five my back straight and my eyes downcast. The dragon apprentices had come to look at us to see who they want to help the orange apprentice came to me and stood behind me I stood up straighter smiling inside. He chose me a girl he choose me I was dancing on the inside I am honored that he chose me no one else would have. The blue apprentice stood behind Ezra just the apprentice he wanted to impress he was standing like I was. We were to grab our thing and end off to the dragon houses but being an orphan I have nothing. I followed my master to the wagon I he asked where I lived to I told him to go to Blossom Street he told the driver.
    “We can go to where I live but I have nothing master.” I informed him he seemed upset by this fact.
    “Where have you been living hasn’t you family given you anything or do you not have a family?” My master asked.
    “I have no family sir I am an orphan.” I answered. My master told the driver to take us to the tailor’s shop he was going to buy me clothes I guess I am an embarrassment with my dirty green dress. Women were not allowed to wear anything thing but dresses it is such an annoying thing it’s hard to fight in a dress when everyone can see my under garments. I do a lot of flips as I fight it helps render my opponent defenseless but every time the skirt of my dress flies up. I am really small not as in short but as in thin it's hard for me to get food but I try not to steal it.
