"Oh crap! I'm going to be late!" cursed Phoebe Almira, as she jumped out her bed for school.
Phoebe ran down the hallway to the bathroom, of her New York apartment. She's starting Duncan High School today as a senior, so, she's in a hurry.
Phoebe jumped in a cab and headed to school.
"That'll be $12.12 Miss." said the shady cab driver.
"Here, keep the change." commanded Phoebe as she jumped from the cab and ran for the school.
She made it to her first class just as the bell rang.
"Class we have a new transfer student joining us. Miss Almira will you please introduce yourself to the class?" asked Mrs. Beneat.
"Oh, umm yes. My name's Phoebe Almira. It's nice to meet you all." stuttered Phoebe.
"Is that all?" questioned Mrs. Beneat.
"Yes, I think. Umm I mean no, well yes." answered Phoebe.
"Okay then take a seat Miss. Almira."
"Yes Maim."
The rest of the day slid by fast, that is until lunchtime. During lunch Phoebe saw a guy staring at her. Now Phoebe wasn't the type of girl who was used to a guy staring at her, nonetheless a cute guy. Unless of course they were staring at her because she looked weird in their eyes but even then Phoebe couldn't imagine a guy like that would be staring at her with such intent. Lunch passed slowly after the staring incident, but the rest of the day went by fast.
By the end of the week, Phoebe learned that the guy from lunch on Monday is also a senior, and that his name is Jay Marque. She couldn't find out anything else about him besides the fact that he lives alone.
Phoebe wants nothing more than to talk to Jay, and tell him how she felt the moment she saw him. Even though she's only known him for a few weeks, and hasn't really talked to him, she knows he's the one she wants to spend the rest of her life with.
Problem is he's the popular boy at her school, every girl wants to date him, and every boy wants to be him. Although Phoebe has only gone to her new school (Duncan High) for a little while, she's already the girl everyone hates, and no one wants to be around. So you see Phoebe believes that as long as Jay and her are apart of two different social groups she can never admit how much she truly loves him.
"I wonder what Jay's thinking right now." thought Phoebe.
"Miss Almira! Miss Almira are you paying attention?" bellowed Phoebe's history teacher Mr. Stanford.
"Umm yes, I mean of course I am."
"Okay then you should be able to answer this, who was the first leader of the Persian Empire?"
"Uhhh, Alexander the Great?"
I see, so you weren't paying attention."
"I bet she was day dreaming about Jay!" blurted out Shelly Crawford.
Phoebe ran out of the classroom, with tears streaming down her milky soft, white skin.
"Aww, she's all sad now. It's now like she even had a chance with Jay." commented Shelly
"Why don't you just shut up Shelly!? You have no idea what your talking about, now do you!? Who knows, maybe I like her too!" shouted Jay as he ran out of the classroom after Phoebe, leaving everyone speechless.
"Phoebe! Stop Please!" yelled Jay as he ran after her.
"No, just leave me alone!" hollered Phoebe as she ran down the hallway with her long ebony hair flowing behind her, and tears still streaming.
Jay finally caught up with her near the gym. He tries to clam her down.
"It's okay Phoebe."
"No, it's not okay! I never want to go back to that class! I just want to disappear!"
"Come on, you don't mean that. Turn around and talk to me, please."
"Why?" questioned Phoebe.
"Why what?" asked Jay, in a confused manner.
"Why do you care so much!? Why won't you leave me alone?!" yelled Phoebe.
"I don't. I mean I do but...” stuttered Jay
"I knew it; you’re just like the rest of them. You don't care one bit! I guess you shouldn't have to, you don't even know...”
"That's not true!" yelled Jay as he cut Phoebe off in mid sentence.
Jay grabbed Phoebe by the shoulders and turned her around to face him.
"I've cared sense the first day I saw you at lunch. When I saw those deep dark blue eyes, all I wanted to do was go over and talk to you." said Jay as he wiped away the tears streaming down Phoebe's milky skin.
"That's why you were staring?"
"Yes, that and you’re..."
"I'm what?" questioned Phoebe.
"Your different from other girls, but in a good way."
Phoebe and Jay continued to talk for a bit then walked back to class hand in hand.
Once they got back the students burst out laughing at the sight of Phoebe and Jay holding hands.
"Aww, do you feel sorry for her Jay? We all know you were joking about what you said because there's no way you could ever love her."
"I don't feel sorry for her! I love her!” shouted Jay.
Phoebe started to cry and drop Jay's hand, as he yelled at the class.
"Why don't you all just leave me alone!" screamed Phoebe.
"Hemp whatever you want Ms. Insecure." answered Shelly in a sarcastic tone.
The class burst out laughing again and all Phoebe wanted was to curl up and disappear. Then at the very second she said it, right there in front of the whole class she disappeared. Little did everyone know, Phoebe was eight outside the window.
"What the heck!?! Why am I flying!? What's going on!?!" panicked Phoebe.
"Aww my princess, you've finally found your powers." whispered a soft voice from behind her.
Phoebe turned around and saw a tall boy, with sliver hair, who had eyes that looked all to familiar, like she had looked into them a million times.
"What are you talking about? I'm not a princess."
"Oh, but you are my love."
"Hey now hold on. I'm not your love either!"
"Awww, but you've already said you love me."
"What are you talking about?" asked Phoebe in a confused voice.
"Don't you remember me? Come on look into my eye, are you sure you don't remember me?" questioned the sweet voiced boy.
Phoebe looked into his eyes and once again she saw those familiar eyes.
"Jay?" asked Phoebe with a curious time.
"Ding Ding! You guessed it!"
"That can't be though, your right there." said Phoebe as she pointed inside the window.
Phoebe pointed inside the classroom seeing that the person she was pointing at was no longer there.
"You also look different!"
"Yes that's true but this is what I really look like. The other way was just a human form I used till I found my love, and seeing as though I've found her there's no need for me to "dress-up" anymore. Besides I'm not the only one who looks different." said Jay as he pointed at Phoebe.
Phoebe turned around to look herself up and down in the reflection of herself in the window. She realized that her hair was darker, longer, and softer. Her skin was soft and paler. Phoebe then saw that two huge black and angelic soft wings were protruding from her back.
"What did you do to me?!?!" asked Phoebe in a panic.
"I did nothing to you. What you're seeing is your true form. That's the form of the Winged Moon Princess. And you my love, your the Moon Princess. You unlocked all your powers along with your true form when you lost the grip to hold it all in. Now come with me."
"Hold on, what if I don't want to leave?" asked Phoebe.
"So you’re saying you want to stay here?" questioned Jay.
"No, of course not!"
"Then come with me."
"Okay, but on one condition." commanded Phoebe.
"And that condition is?" questioned Jay.
"That you never let me go! That you always love me and me only!!" demanded Phoebe with tears running down her face.
"Of course, I'll always love you, just like I do now. Why would I let you go, or love someone else!?"
"It's just everyone does..." said Phoebe as Jay cut her off mid sentence.
"I won't. I promise. Now come." said Jay as he reached out for Phoebe and embraced her.

Short story I wrote back in 8th grade which is about 2 almost 3 years now.
Not as good as my writing now though, so there's probably tons of grammar mistakes and such. - Date: 06/18/2010
