• Rachel watched the football game gloomily under the bleachers, and briefly shed tears. She rushed inside the gym and sang her pain away. "Hands touch- eyes meet- sudden silence, sudden heat- hearts leap in a giddy whirl- there's a girl I know- he loves her so- I'm not that girl-" A clap. She spun around on her heel, and gasped. It was Quinn. "Stay away." she said, gritting her teeth. Rachel walked away, and smiled innocently. "I don't know what you're talking about." said Rachel, slowly closing the gym door, and Quinn said, "Ugh. whatever. Loser." She walked away, onto the field. "Hi Finn." she said. She gulped. "It- was umm- cool the way you uh- y'know, like- threw the ball- and stuff-" "thanks." said Finn. He laughed. "I don't know everything about music, but you don't know everything about football." Rachel laughed. "Eh- heh- heh- yeah-" she smiled. "good job." she gave him a fist bump. She sat down under the bleachers, and took a deep sigh. "Gawd, what a loser I am. I'm just a buddy, a pal!" she smacked the ground and scowled.
    "Ugh, I'm so stupid!" thought Finn, walking off the field, "I'm just her BFF, her best buddy!" He kicked over the cooler, much to the shame of the waterboy. "But I want to be more-" he thought, and sat down behind the bleachers.
    Uh-oh! Thought Rachel, spotting Finn. She tried to rush out form behind the bleachers, and she nearly screamed, until she saw Finn approach from behind. "Erm- hi- I was uh- scraping-ummmm- bubblegum from under the bleachers-" she smiled sheepishly, and started to walk away until Finn pulled her under the bleachers and kissed her. She pulled away suprisingly, and said, "Finn-!" "What? Do you only want to be friends?" He said, a little hurt, along with his ego. "No. I want to be so much more." she smiled and kissed him again.

    When they were through, Quinn said, " Hi Finn. Did you talk to Slushie girl about your restraining order?" "Very funny, Princess Perfect." she said.
