• Angel stared at Eddie's now red face and couldn't think of what to say after that. She opened her mouth to give him her answer but a beeping on the radar interupted her before she got the chance. Damn! she thought as she stared at the neon green screen. Eddie leaned over, his hot breath in her ear. She had a sudden intention to move away from him as quickly as she could, but didn't. "You know, I would like a kiss before i head to death." Angel got out of the chair to face him and yelled at him. "Who said you going to die? I mean there are a few of us here, who says your the only one? Stop joking around It isn't a game! When we were training...that was different! This is real life, it's not some kind of game that we made up, it real." She finished and gulped in a big breath. A little quieter she added: "And I don't want any of you to die."
Eddie stared at her with a bit of surprise and had this look in his eye that he was going to kiss her. But instead he stepped forward and pulled her into a hug. A nice, warm, understanding hug. "I understand what your saying, but what I'm saying is that I don't want to lose you, ever." Angel's eyes widened at this statement and then a single tear trickled down her cheek.
Before he dropped down to the enemy's ground, he flipped up his visor and gave Angel a quick kiss on the cheek--her cheeks filled with color--and then gave her a smile and a thumbs up and jumped out eagle spread from the aircraft. Angel plopped back into the pilot's seat and pursued ahead of the team.
