I lived there.
It was my favorite place.
I was always there.
Standing by the gate.
But, I never talked.
As long as I stood in that spot, no one would find me.
It was like my own world.
I always thought about it.
There were ghosts here too.
They didn't scare me.
I had a normal life.
Until he came.
I was standing, as still as a ghost.
He was on a bike.
He came zooming through my world.
I had to ask.
"Do you believe in ghosts?" I asked.
"No," He said.
Oh, then I guess, that white hand on your shoulder is just my imagination," I said, noticing a ghost hand on his shoulder.
He seemed to look over his shoulder, then he rushed away.
I stared after him.
He went off a cliff.
My eyes widened.
He came back up.
I was relieved.
I did not see him for some time.
I only stood in that spot.
I knew he would come back.
And he did.
I asked him the question again.
He said yes.
I finally disappeared.
After all those years of standing, halfway between the real world and the ghost world.
