During the spring break of my Junior year, as I was sitting alone on the bench watching the birds fly over me. I sat there, sad and depressed after what I had just done. Shortly thereafter, I happened to encounter a man.
This man looked deep into my eyes, as he softly started speaking. “If you can't confess to her,” he began. “And if you continue to hide it.” There was a long pause, as I blankly stared at him, unsure of what to feel at the time; he continued, “Then it’s proof that your feelings aren't serious. Because if it were me, then I definitely wouldn’t be able to endure it,” He said as his tone grew louder and stronger. “I wouldn't be able to put up with it…" That man said, and scolded me.
He scolded me.
He harshly scolded me, who was grieving and unqualified to fall in love.
“Because is it not painful?..” This man whose tears had started flowing uncontrollably was looking at me deep in the eye. His heart broken, he was a mess.
“Even though you are near the person you love, to not be able to hold her hand or even kiss her...” He ended as he clinched my shoulders and fell down to is knees.
- Title: Red Rose
- Artist: Levven
- Description: This piece of writing depicts something similar (though not exact) that happened to me during the spring break of my junior year. As for the title, even though roses do not have any direct relation to the writing, the colour red and roses are usually symbolized to represent feelings and confessions, which is pretty relevant to the writing.
