- What are we? Are we not but pawns moved by the hand of Fate on the chessboard of Reality? Or are we free-thinking creatures that decide what choices to make based of our own goals and interests? All-in-all, we spend our lives waiting for the inevitable: death. Yes, death; the crushing, inescapable, black nothingness that signifies the end of life. So, we create religion, heroes, vampires, Gods, immortal beings to offer escapes from this inescapable doom. Why? Because death is quite terrifying to those who perceive it. So we work in constant fear, trying to prolong life and escape the inevitable. We try to elongate the cycle of life, yet we only end up elongating the own circles we make. Humans are creatures of habit, so, by living longer, we simply repeat these habits. For some, death is a release from this boredom. For others, this prolonging offers a chance for them to break the circle and become what they think is best for them instead of what the universal laws dictate. I am merely a victim of these circles, stifled within shackles of my own creation. However, these bonds are not indestructible for I am what I make myself, and you are what you make yourself, and she is what she makes herself, and we are what we make ourselves. Nietzsche dictates that those who follow universal moral codes are conforming to a herd mentality and that to exist is to do what is aesthetically necessary. So, what we are cannot be answered by science or religion or by psychologists. What we are cannot be answered by anybody. The only question that can be answered is what I am, and the answer is: whatever I make myself to be. Existence is not a rational entity that can be categorized and placed in books, it is an extremely complicated entanglement of thought, choices, beauty, chaos, destruction, order. It is paradox. It is subjective. It is truth.

You forgot the theory of one man who claims that everything we do is caused by our brain chemistry, and because of this, morals are a lie.
This man also believed that rape was okay because according to Darwin, that was spreading his genes around and thus any rapist is living well by the standards of "Survival of the Fittest." - Report As Spam
