    Zombie Mark
    Bush and the Meerkats
    PART 2
    Bush meets the Meerkat Union

A few weeks pasted and the Meerkats did a wonderful job of cleaning. Bush was proud that he found them so he could hire them. He pulled up into the parking lot in his Hummer 3. He got out and went to the back door. Once inside, he saw Zombie Mark, Jeo-Chan, and the meerkats standing there, waiting for them. He couldn’t help but see the anger in their eyes, but didn’t really care to ask them why. He was in a bad mood after being caught in traffic when an accident happened. Some one had decided to run a stop sign and crashed into another car. Bush tried to take pictures of it, since he ran a small photo business on the side and thought he could sell the pictures the local newspapers, but the cops chased him off. So this little confrontation was not at the best of times for him.

“Well” Bush asked, “Why are you all standing around and not working?”
“We have something to tell you.” Jeo-Chan said. “Well, Zombie Mark dose anyway, but I support him.”
“Well?” Bush said to Mark when she had finished. “What is it?”
“We believe you have been treating the Meerkats horrible. They live in a box under a leaky sink.”
“It’s the only place I can find that the health inspector wont bother to look.”
“And they survive off one piece of popcorn a day.”
“Well, we can’t waist popcorn!” Bush yelled. “It cost to mush to waist. They just have too learn to ration what we give them.”
“Ration!” Mark yelled. “Ration what? One piece of popcorn?”
“They can do it.” Bush calmly said.
“One piece for all 30 of them?” Jeo-Chan asked, her starting to lose her temper.
“Yeah, so what’s your point?” Bush asked again.
“The point is,” Zombie Mark continued, “is that you’re cheep. They need more then that to live. And is they don’t get it, then they go on strike.” Zombie Mark said, crossing his arms.

Bush just stared at Zombie Mark for a few moments. “I’ll think it over.” was all he said as he went up the stairs to the projection booth. Once he was up there, he pulled out his laptop and connected to the internet and searched if animals could be turned into zombies. To his surprise, they could. Now that zombie has a small fury army under his command. Bush thought. And their corrupting Jeo-Chan as well. I need to deal with this somehow.

The day passed by without another confrontation, mainly because Bush refused to come down out of the lab. As normal, the Meerkats helped Zombie Mark clean the theater’s after each show. Other then that, they would hide in the back or stay somewhere out of sight. Finally, at the end of the night, Bush snuck down with his baseball bat and looked around the projection booth door to see where all the zombies were. He would have to wait for a few days before the Zombie-Be-Gone spray to arrive. He just hoped it worked better then last time. The spray kind of worked, but didn’t kill the Zombie Mark. It only made him sick for a couple of days. He still wondered why the people at the hospital didn’t notice that Zombie Mark was on of the undead. Maybe he turned them as well. Oh no. he thought, The virus is spreading!

Bush saw Zombie Mark standing over near the counter of the concession stand with his laptop out and showing Jeo-Chan some video he had downloaded. It must be some hypnotic video that turns living people undead. He must have shown it to the hospital people as well.

Zombie Mark’s back was turned to him so Bush crept up and hit him over the head with the baseball bat. Jeo-Chan jumped when the crack of the bat connected with Mark’s skull. “I know you like doing that and all” Jeo-Chan said, “But one day your going to kill him.”
“It’s ok.” Bush said. “He’s a zombie, he’s already dead.”
Jeo-Chan shook her head. “How many times do I have to tell you, there’s no such thing as zombies.”
“Poor, dear, sweet, innocent Jeo-Chan. You will think me when the zombie invasion happens and all your friends become zombie food.” She just shook her head and looked at the computer again. Bush took time to look at what was on screen when he saw what it was. “Oh, hey!” he said. “Code Monkeys, I love that show.”

As he stood there and laughed at the adventures of Dave and Jerry and the people at Gamervision, he didn’t see the Meerkats gather around him. When the episode ended, he looked down when he heard a noise and saw them. He then jumped up onto the counter and yelled, “Get those undead things away from me!”

Jeo-Chan looked down at the Meerkats and laughed. “You mean the Meerkats?”
“Yes,” Bushed answered. “The zombie has turned them into the undead.”
    “Their not zombies” Jeo-Chan said.
“They have to be.” Bush said, “My zombie-sense is tingling. You know it only does that when zombies are around.”
    “I’ve told you before, that’s not a zombie-sense, that’s heartburn.”
“Yeah, well, I still don’t trust them.” Bush said as he got off the counter.
“So,” Jeo-Chan asked. “Have you thought about what Zombie Mark said earlier?”
“Yeah” Bush said. “I want to see them try to strike against me.”
