The hope like wings
That perch the sorrowful love
Deny the fateful winds
And use a malevolent curse
To fuel a bitter fire
Diseased with happiness
And cured with bigotry
That when tamed
Ignites the flames
And sets the heart astir
A note so curious
Linger about in deep eyes
Settled to dreams,
To passionless fevers
Cripples the flight of butterflies
So pained, so beautiful
They fall on reality like stars
Where far-off lovers will whisper
Their wishful sighs
Taking a sign from the heavens
In their own elucidation
Where upon the beautiful mess begins
Again, another life

Description:
A love poem, talking about the "cycle" of it's life. Very short poem, for my tastes.
Critiquing is a welcomed mistress ;) - Date: 07/16/2008

- This is a great poem. Its short and to the point but paints a story or picture. I read it twice trying to find something to comment on and I would like to say the use of large words is great it really helps make the poem. THANK YOU FOR WRITING THIS!
