Marriane was a graceful dane,
But the old folks said that she was insane.
Some said she was made of pain,
The ladies said she was downright vain!
Her eyes seemed glass, her lips cherry red,
Her skin so light you'd think she was dead!
Locks of snow-blonde hair draped down her head,
And no one knew to what her beauty led.
Men were enchanted by her grace,
And knew their desired place,
So with lust gazed at her face,
And sent her dresses trimmed withe lace.
When the girl was eighteen she married a chap,
Who had looks and great wit but held lies in his lap,
And so told her a bunch of unfaithful sap.
He was the devil, and wore red cap.
He killed Marriane and took her to hell,
Where forever they did dwell.
And who did dead Marriane tell?
That would be me, who wishes you well.

- Description: Well, in my honest opinion I would have to say that the last line was somewhat scratchy. Despite that, I enjoyed writing this. I hope you enjoyed reading!
