Shadows cover the world,
Our hearts tainted by his touch,
Our lives forsaken by his hand,
No escape from his clutch,
Except for one shining light,
A heart who lived untouched,
A leader above all men,
The light is our Lord,
Embodiment of love,
Embodiment of joy,
a savior for all touched by his hand.

It's different... Very well written though. I was wondering if the lower case 'a' in the last line was done on purpose. It caught my eye. Almost as if it were supposed to? To draw one's eye to that line because it's important? Anyway, good job.
