“THE WINGED ONES”
We fly through the air of imagination
Can live endless ages
Misunderstood
We breathe fire, brimstone, or ice
We move fast as lightning
Our growls are like thunder
We are kindred spirits full of wonder
Amazed why we are feared by humans
We have great power and strength
Can move as fast as the wind blows
Able to blend into our surroundings forever watching
Yet never changing
We are judged by mankind
Never really given a chance to speak our minds
We live in bodies of water, deep forests, or high mountain tops.
We live when and where we can in
Silence and in darkness
Despite of what you may think of our race
We kindred creatures have a gentle side
We choose to live with order and
Have great understanding
Passing through the centuries unscathed by time
We are not but large scaly creatures
With big hearts of untold love that is without end.
