-
As the sun rose, and the sky filled with red
I went back to that day
A red rose
Dew drops on its luscious petals
Such a contrast of red and green
Passionate and consuming
Fiery
I reached to pluck this, everlasting and alluring,
Quick grasp of the evergreen stem.
Ouch!
The protective bodyguard of the rose
The thorn on its stem cut into my finger
The warmth of the red blood,
But yet the rose still stood
Graceful, passionate, and lusting to be picked.
Such beauty should never be given the chance to fade

- I absolutely love it! The only critique I have is that it doesnt really flow. I give it 4.5 out of five but round up. Bravo.

- Simply beautiful. If I may say, it has a good image behind it too, if you think about it. Overall, good job!
