Through troubled eyes
The world finds a girl lost in the mist
Never knowing where to go
Or who to really trust
When hope is gone and worlds burn
One will remain the same
Away from pain and disappointment
One ordinary dame
She found her way out of the mist
And to see this barren land
Hammering on the window frame
Windows full of guilt and shame
Whispering secrets of the past
Knowing they will never last
Screaming fills our bleeding ears
And of our greatest fears
Painful as we watch them die
Painful as we watch them cry
Through troubled eyes
The world finds
Me. . . .

I like the contrast between the tone of the last line of the 2nd stanza and the 1st line of the 3rd. Sort of wish the mist transition meant a little more to the progression though..

- I really like it. It shows how we sometimes feel. As you read you get into it and the last stanza hits you with one simple word. Me. I thought it was powerful.
