A STORM OF DUST
The night was black night,
The stars could not pierce the dust.
Window lights could not spread beyond their yards.
The dust came in thinly.
It could not be seen in the air.
It settled like pollen.
Little lines of dust lay at the door sills.
The dust-filled air muffled sound.
The roosters crowed,
And their voices were muffled.
In the morning, the dust hung like fog.
The sun was as red as ripe new blood.
An even blanket covered the earth.

- Title: A STORM OF DUST
- Artist: BABBYlonian
- Description: It's a poem made from sentences in "Grapes of Wrath". It's about the Dust Bowl. Turned it in for my English project. I never got it back. I think she liked it....I hope you like it too.

- I simply rearranged the best sentences John Steinbeck used to describe the Dust Bowl. He won a Pulitzer Prize for this. When I read your comment, your BRAIN felt rather WEAK!

- alitare, it seems that you haven't read john steinbeck's works. You MUST read up on the dust bowl, otherwise you wouldn't understand this poem. READ "GRAPES OF WRATH" so you would understand.

- Way too repetitive. Imagery doesn't fit to a logical coherence. And feels rather weak. 1.75/5.
