    One person was all you needed to wake up in the morning,
    a friendly face to brighten your day.
    One person was all it took to send your day spiraling downward,
    painting it black, making the brightness fade away.
    One comment, from the mouth of a stranger,
    hit you like a punch in the gut. Knocking the wind out of you,
    and beating you back into reality.

    One second was all it took
    for there comment to start eating away at your subconscious.
    Like a poison slowly infecting your body and mind.
    Its funny in a sad sort of way.
    One little thing, made you feel so bad about yourself,
    like an insignificant grain of sand, at the bottom of the largest ocean.
    Constantly being thrown around by its current.

    One person was all you needed,
    to be the antidote to the poison
    that was slowly eating away at you.
    But they weren’t there.

    One hour, one day, on week, one month, one year.
    who knows how long you were alone.
    Sinking deeper and deeper into your ocean of depression,
    past the Titanic, and deeper than the lost city of Atlantis,
    never to see the light of day again.
    One speck of hope was all you had left,
    praying, that by some miracle, some saint would catch you,
    and send you floating back to the surface.
    Still you waited, no one came to your rescue.
    Hope seemed lost, but you still never hit rock bottom.

    One ray of light.

    Even for a grain of sand… miracles happen.
    A saint, an antidote to your poison, a stronger current,
    lifting you up towards the surface,
    into the sky, past the sun and all body’s of matter beyond it.
    One friend, that saw you when no one else did,
    brightened up your day and made the darkness fade away. heart
