• There's a calarabi kingdom and it lives within my head,
where the sunlight beats upon the leaves,
so gently on the lettuce bed.
When you find a shady spot,
where mushrooms pop up from the earth,
and earthworms worm through soil and rocks,
But leaving from the humid darkness,
    and climbing up the stalks,
take from you what you once knew,
and change your view - what you belived.

    The mice do nibble,
    the birds do rest,
a faye may lie among the leaves,
    for perchance they do exist.

    I tell of this kingdom,
with all the thoughts in mind,
of a place where you can rest,
and never starve, both stomach and soul.

    You may find me there,
    splashing in the dew,
    always safe amongst the plants,
in the land, inside my mind.
