    A kingdom of mantled blue,
    Criss-cross waves,
    Fish who speak true.

    Sunset shores,
    Rise and fall...
    A single conch,
    Sing the sea's call.

    Rhythms of splish-splash,
    Movement from waves.
    Sounds of whoosh! and wish!
    Echoes of days.

    The ocean is a great fire;
    Always changing, yet always the same,
    Blue depths of cold flame,
    Yet fire is not its name.

    The sea, the great waters,
    The reflection of motion...
    The mirroring sky...
    Or should I simply call it the ocean?
