I once was able to put beautiful thoughts into your head
And sing you peaceful lullabies every night before bed.
But now you only see past them and into the tortures of the world.
And the lullabies turned to nightmare hymns of the geniusly mad.
Before I was left in the dark.
The cold stone walls my only audience.
Trapped in a world where no one would listen.
Your soul was pure and resonated throughout me,
Untouched by the horrors of life
And for the first time I saw a cloudless light.
The mask hid what the world would never understand.
Something I thought in time, you would be able to see past.
The only thing I saw in time, Was that Pandora was never meant to be trusted.
And I was always destined to live a life in darkness.
You let the image disrupt the true beauty surrounding the sound.
An Angels voice forever heavenly and immortal
But the Angel was shot down and reformed.
Your image is twisted in their eyes
They call it tragically tragic.
But you always called it tragically beautiful.
A life of solitary darkness is all I’m destined for.
A soul once so pure is now as dark as the deepest night sky.
And soon, the voice will wither away and die.
