It shows what is there, not what is not.
It holds the memories of all that is before.
It breaks with the heart in anger, splitting into many.
It defines and defies the world around it, as it hangs upon the wall.
Its eyes forever closed, but its reflections see the truth,
Shattering illusions of looks, love and lust.
It rejects the images of shades, with too much blood to comprehend,
It’s a window into dimensions, of hate, fear and trust.
Its impassive gave hates, as the viewer before it hates.
As their own eyes deceive the truth the mirror has shown.
They resent the mirrors truth, freely given like its life.
As it is smashed, so like a candle, the mirrors life is blown.
