• The night's breeze takes away my breath
That billows out of my mouth like smoke through a chimney.
I feel as if I'm finally alone
My toes slowly loosen their embrace on the edge
As I prepare to take the leap.
I gather up the courage and soar off the edge.
    My hair whips my face
as my clothes snap at me like many snakes.
    I plunge into the water
and the cold is like a straight jacket
    I cannot move.
The darkness closes in around me
so I close my eyes to welcome it
    And I am finally alone
