• Description: things are kind of falling apart for me right now. im somewhere between laughing and crying and i'm sick of her telling me that everything is my fault. i want to take too much tylenol and fall asleep and wake up numb, because anything is better than this. im a weak person, i give up too easily and i know it, but this time i have to much to accomplish .im fighting, in hopes that maybe one day i can become a butterfly too.

Tonight I want to light a match
And watch heartless flames lick away the past
Leaving nothing but the ash my future holds
And burns on the fingertips that couldn’t let go

Tonight I want to turn up the stereo
And silently scream at the top of my lungs
Let the music flow through my veins
An anesthetic to the pain that no one can see

Tonight I want to embrace the present
Open my hand, and let the past float away with the ashes
Close my eyes tight in the black midnight
And pray that tomorrow I can see the world in color

Tonight I want to break free of the vines
That bind me to nightmares and suck out the light
Feel the cool touch that heals wounds
on my skin and in my heart and in my mind

Tonight the caterpillar will morph into a butterfly
The useless will become vibrant and new
Fragile wings will grow strong over time
And carry me away into my dreams
