Anyway, does it have a tune? (Assuming it's a song)

I don't really get how the chorus ties into each stanza. Plus the chorus is a bit long. Nice ballad all in all though. I think the idea and the fact you are trying to send a message make the poem. The writing style isn't my cup of tea but that's nothing to criticize you for. Most 5 star poems are the love s**t ones, but I think this is better by default. So 5/5 but that doesn't mean you couldn't improve it.
