In the forest of a thounsand words is where I go to think
A place of treasures greater than gold
With stories and myths left untold
In a river of deepest sunset is the story of my past
Behold my little ironies, missed chances and deepest regrets
Watch as I form from flesh blood and bone
And into soil dirt and stone, only to become human once more
Many beautiful sorrows await once you set foot in my domain
In the forest of a thousand words, there is but a single, hidden thought
A confession just sitting on the edge of my icy lips
It is small, shy and unbidden, at least, until today
And within a tree of rosy leaves, I sleep inside the hollow
In the solace of of my secret dreams I have forever wallowed
Do you, dear stranger, know where this place exists
And if so, will you save me from this morbid sanctuary
Or will I be fated to live like this until the end of time
Hurry now, you must not wait
For if you should get lost, here is where you must stay
In the forest of one thousand words
I live a thousand lives and dies a thousand deaths
How can this be, you inquire on a starry night
Well, if you must know
And you have yet to see
Close your eyes and listen
I am but myself, nothing more, nothing less
