A soldier falls upon the ground
A battle rages all around
A tear falls down his face
This fear is real, this is his fate
He fought for his family's freedom
But now, who will redeem him?
He fought hard for all their lives
And now, here he lays
No one hears his cries
A soldier falls upon the ground
But now, no one is around
He soon will be a forgotten man
No one there, with a helping hand
Now the soldier sees the light
"I'm finally home"
he says in delight

- Description: This is for all the soldiers that die for us to live. No one remember, or ever knew even, who they were. But, we all know, that they are the real heroes in our world. Sorry that this poem sucks, it was really hard for me to get my point across. God Bless The Soldiers.

- This is a beautiful poem. I was reading this poem picturing my cousin who got killed in Iraq. . .the images were so clearly conjured into my mind. . .this poem is very expressive. nicely done. 5/5
