    Cause so much pain
    As soon as it's heard
    The emotions can no longer be contained

    It's only seven little letters
    That causes such destruction and dismay
    That turns everything that seems better
    Into a feeling of loneliness and betray

    One little word destroys so many we know
    Yet we can't help but repeat it
    Striking them with such a strong blow
    It's hard to get over and try not to quit

    So we ask ourselves why
    We choose to use such a word
    This word called Goodbye
    That kills to be heard
