Carry me across the fields to save the pinkness of my shoes,
Gave up your shirt to save my hair in the rain,
Go through the thorns to keep from doing so,
And singing me lullabies until my drowsy eyes close.
This must be love.
Let me hit you when I am mad,
Let me yell and scream,
Then still say that you love me,
And I find it impossible to believe.
You must have lost all sanity.
Take my food when I look away,
Tickle me until I cry,
Bite my face playfully,
And kiss me in front of my own daddy.
Why do I put up with you?
Call me in the morning,
Call me at night,
Call me at twilight,
And talk to me at midnight.
It must be a miracle that we get any sleep at all.
I changed for you,
You changed for me.
Our relationship is never fifty-fifty,
But one-hundred for both you and me.
It is quite tiring.
I want romance,
You want comedy,
I want you,
And you want me.
This must be love. heart

Description:
This is just a simple poem describing my boyfriend and I's relationship. It's not in any strict form; totally free verse all the way. There is some rhyming though. This poem was just for fun, so it may not be my best, but it does describe what I wanted.

Spousal abuse meets chivalry.
I guess I can dig it.
Especially enjoyed "I want romance, You want comedy,"
I can really appreciate that. - Report As Spam
