Let me try to touch the sky,
Then let me fall back down.
Some people may ask why I try,
They find it quite profound.
I look up with shoulders squared,
And I give it one more try:
I leaped so high, my dress did tear,
But I fell down with a sigh.
The lesson I have learned from this,
Is learned by very few,
Although winning will amount in bliss,
Losing is okay too.
So remember: you can always take pride
In saying that you tried.

This is a sonnet I wrote for Language Arts.
