Silver Moon on the tundra rising
Shines in the black night bright like lightning,
Watches over wasteland freezing
Wasteland wintry, white and cold.
Violet Sky like a blanket covers
Tundra swept with powder snow,
Stars like countless hopeful lovers
Crown her head with diamonds' glow.
Trees like soldiers stately tower
Over tundra sealed in ice,
Guarding fragile arctic flowers
Ageless sentries, ancient, old.
Wolves with finest gray coats gleaming
Howl the moon a lullaby,
Winds above their night-song screaming
Swiftly send their harsh reply.
Owls from the spruce trees strike
Ghost-white wings against the night,
Over tundra freezing, bright
Bright beneath the silver moon.
Night moth by the frozen lake
Shakes to rid her wings from frost,
Like magic, specks of silvery flake
Careless in the wind are tossed.
Bright night Tundra in the winter
Land of beauty, dressed in ice,
Heart is frozen to its center,
Landscape rugged, the Arctic's tune.

- Title: Tundra
- Artist: Earthsongs
- Description: Probably the worst non-prose I've ever written. I was going for a 'primitive' meter, and failed miserably. But it's got wolves in it, so that's bound to make some 12-year-olds happy.
