The rain falls softly on my shoulder
Every drop a touch of pain
I am singing a song of an empty body
A body without a soul
I must sing this song of the Unforgiven
The song of many more
So we send our soldiers out in to the war
The lives taken from forever more
It hurts so much we cannot help it
I wait here alone
I do not understand
Why you sit there
Dead
I wish I were you
I could be free
I wouldn’t hurt
And I wouldn’t bleed
Now I understand
Why we respect you
I thought it was because you were you
Now I know
And now I see
I didn’t stop it
I didn’t help
I was too scared
And had no hope
The rain is still falling
And yet I can’t see it
I think I am dead
The last thing I knew
Was that I was standing
In a war
That wasn’t ending
Is someone proud?
Is someone listening?
You murdered me
And my family
My soul now lingers
And I cannot hurt
But I remember
I cannot forget
This is just a prologue to how I died

- Title: A Poem to match The Rain
- Artist: Ukyo Spatula Girl
- Description: It is Just A poem to Match A day while a lost girl wanders hopelessly in the rain... It's also A prologue I thought of for a story I thought I might write.. It doesn't really mean anything......
