sing a song of broken hearts
and you sing a song for me
sing a song of shattered dreams
your still singing in my key

up the tempo just a bit
and watch the puppet dance
when you sing the second verse
you'll have another chance

to sing a song of wasted years
of broken vows and rules
sing a song of fallen tears
the ballad of a fool

your stupid song of apologies
i now really don't care
why should you sing it to me
when there's nothing for you to repair heart crying
