-
the swamp so steady and so still,
waits so silent just until
the morning breaks, and birds come near,
their cries you can plainly hear,
the small,the medium,and the big,
come to dance a happy jig,
in the water,topped with goo,
full of bugs and fish too,
a humming song the crickets clink,
when the sun begins to sink,
all the birds will then be gone,
and the swamp will again be lone.
